MRV IR-Series Terminal Server setup

Hi,
I got anIn-Reach terminal server.
When i power on the server i got :

In-Reach Server, Type 130, Rev G.00.00
Ethernet address 08-00-87-80-D7-51
Currently using initialization record 0

Requesting network load service
Memory Card; Not installed.


Enter <CTRL><T> for offer status

The main question is :
Do i need a memory card in the slot in front to start this device.

I also tried to give an ip address through dhcp and bootp server but it fails : after the offer i got an other discover later.
