I'm looking for some help, we have 3 offices connected with 1700 Routers via a MPLS VPN. One office has been having problems on and off for about the past year. The provider (PaeTec) does their overnight testing and comes back with "It's your equipment."

Everytime they say it's my equipment it ends up being someting else. Now i'm getting about 6 bounces a day from this line but I dont' want to buy a new router if the one I have isn't the problem. The guy at paetec said, well why don't you change your equipment and then if it still happens we can go back to verizon saying "Ok we changed the EQ but that didn't work now what".
Ya that sounds great but then i'm stuck with new equipment i didn't need.

I have a 1600 router i'm not using with a WIC1 DSU T1 card in it. can i simply switch this out with the WIC 1 that's in the 1700 router w/o any reconfiguration?
I'm not really sure how to configure the router and am not sure if i could. I've only used IOS with some cisco switches a few years ago diong basic things, never really done router config.

So if i simply put this T1 card in the 1700 router would it work? Is the configuratio for the VPN stored on the card or just within the router?

Any help is apprecaited. If not i'll haev to buy a new router.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Yes, just swap the card.. no config change needed.. Configs are stored within the router. make sure to power off before changing.
