Hi there,

I've a problem when watching movies with my new PC. If due to some problem with the CD if the movie stops in between, i use ctrl+alt+del to end the task. On ending the task i get an error message "free the MPEG drive kernal fail". Can anyone tell me what this means, why it happens and how to solve this problem?

Awaiting for ur replies.
Shri.

What Player/Driver/Codec are you using to playback the mpeg, or is this normal windows media player playback?

Basically far as the error message goes, you are bound to often get error messages when codecs etc are involved, and you decide to terminate the program using them immproperly (ctrl-alt-del) , if the movie is cutting off in the same spot everytime, and you dont have problems with other movies, it might be a scratch on the CPU or the file itself is corrupt, if you want to be sure, you can physically look at the CD, or you can try to copy the file to your harrddisk and try to play it from there.
