Mozilla/Netscape autocomplete not working

Does anyone know why my Mozilla/Netscape autocomplete is not working? I did go to Preferences-Navigator-Smart Browsing and Location Bar is checked. I also go Advanced and check all four boxes there. It aint't working still. Thanks.

Did you go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Content, Personal Information and set the Autocomplete options there?

In addition, make sure you set your default Browser appropriately.

yep, I made sure auto-complete options in Control Panel, Internet Options, Content are on. Aren't they only applicable to IE and not Mozilla? Also, how do I change my default browser from IE to Mozilla?

I need to know your Operating system, including whether you are current on all Service Packs, to answer your question.

You can change the default browser through Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs. It helps if under XP that Service Pack 1 is installed. Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, set IE and OE to permit other programs as the default.

Your settings that I mentioned above control whether the AutoComplete information is recorded by a Windows service for protected storage or not. Did you happen to "tweak" your service entries? You may have disabled or set to Manual the protected storage service and it needs to restart.

Are you talking about auto complete for forms? If so, under preferences, go to Privacy & Security then go to Forms and make sure the checkbox is checked. At least that's how it is on mine using Moz 1.5.
