I need to move all of my users' home folders to a NAS server instead of having them locally on one of the domain controllers. What types of programs have you used? Is Robocopy.exe from MS the best way to go? if so, what is/are the best switches to use? /mir /copyall /s/ r???

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

DJK

I typically use robocopy...

[blue]robocopy <source> <dest> /V /NP /E /PURGE /COPYALL /R:1 /W:10 /XX > LogFile.txt,[/blue]

If you're doing a piecemeal migration the /purge /xx options are great. They ensure that your destination keeps the latest and greatest, even if your users are split between old and new.

Piping to a log file really helps with diagnosing missing file issues if you get any complaints.
