Moving the OS?

I have Windows 2000 server installed on a hard drive on a Dell PE2550. I want to know if it would be possible to move the hard disk with the current OS on the PE2550 to another Dell Server (Dell 8450). I know that hardware differences would be an issue. BUT, if I ran the Win. installation and used the repair utility would that work? Or what might work?

Move the drive, Boot it into safe mode, uninstall all the incorrect drivers, reboot it and get ready to install new drivers....
