Hi all,

I have 4 girls in my transcription department and they have been using the same computers for years. I recently purchased them brand new units and upgraded them to Word 2000 but they are not happy.

Seems they have been adding medical terms into the spell checker in word for years and they now have to start all over again. Is there any way we can copy the old dictionary file from the old computers and put them on the new ones?

If they are stored as .DIC files - these are custom dictionary files - then, yes, you can copy them from one computer to another.

The files are most likely stored as CUSTOM.DIC. They could be in a number of different locations depending on the operating system. Do a search for them.
