Moving printers 2

Is there anyway to move networked printers from one server to another. I am replacing a server with a new box and need to have all of the printers moved as well. I would prefer to be able to do this the easiest way possible. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

Yup... use the printer migration utility (not many people know of this but it works great!)

The utility is called printmig.exe from Microsoft. It works from NT 4.0 to 2K, 4.0 to 4.0, 2k to 2k...etc

I looked real quick on MS web site but could not find the link...I know its up there though and its free...

Thansk for all of the help. The exe is printmig v2.0 is only on the Windows 2000 Resource Kit Supplement 1 cd.

I know that we originally had problems with the utility when you try to migrate printers from various different NT print server to one centrallized win2K print server. We contacted Compaq and then we put in contact with Microsoft. As it turns out, there is a bug with the original version. They sent us the updated printmig.exe and it solved all problems for us....
