Moving outlook calendar from one mailbox to public folders

A manager who has resigned used to share his calendar with his staff as a vacation/time off scheduling device. Since he is no longer here and I want to remove his mailbox, is there a way to move his calendar to a public folder so that it doesn't have to be re-created?
Many thanks for your advice.

Figured it out myself. I had to log on as him, then copy his mailbox to the public folders.
