moving old files

What is the trick to moving access files from 97 to 2002. It tells me it can't convert 1x or something like that. Anybody run into this issue before?

A 1x or 2x is from the 16 bit days and so I believe so is 3x. Access97 is 8x. So I believe you would first have to convert to 97 then to 2k.
