Hello folks -

I have been dealt the responsibility of moving MX record from one public DNS Server to another. Along with MX record, I also have to move the
Here's my plan:

1. Create A record, MX record, and host name record on the new DNS server
2. Change authoratative DNS Server for the zone to the new DNS Server. Wait for the change to propagate (told it's usually 24-48 hours)

Anything I am missing? Your response would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to be creating two A records and one MX record.

Before you actually change the DNS servers at the registrar, run NSLOOKUP from the commandline and use the SERVER command to point at one of the new DNS servers. Make sure they are properly resolving your domain's records before you flip the switch to change over. It's no fun to leave a warm house only to end up in an empty lot.
