Before making this (IMO) backward step, have you tried to diagnose and fix the problem ? First thing to check is your ica-tcp connection settings, have you made sure there are no timeouts on these ? and if you do not have a need to enable discconect timeouts turn them off so users will be able to go straight back in to their apps.
This is usually a sign of bad printer drivers if the above is not relevant, how sure are you that they are all good ? Would certainly be worth going through them.
