Hello,
I have an old netware 4.2 server that has given up.Power unit on proliant 200 died and took the motherboard with it i think.I have taken the two scsi disks out and reinstalled them in a clone pc with an adaptec controller.
Booted into dos and started server -na -ns.
Ran vrepair to check vols and no problem found.
Problem is if I try and mount SYS I get an error saying directory mismatch. Is it possible to start a server this way or is it because of the different controller that the volumes wont mount?
Any ideas please
Thanks
Gary

I've never had a problem moving disks to different controllers, but make sure the Adapter sees them in the same order as before and also try to have the latest drivers.

Is the old scsi controller integrated? If not, I'd move it over too.
