Moving 5.5 to a new server with the same name. 2

Hello All,

I was hoping to find someone who has done this successfully and if so what might I look out for or be aware of, I am running exchange 5.5 NT 4.0 domain, I know already about the end of life issue with both products, but we are a small business and can’t afford to upgrade right now, I am running out of space on my existing exchange server and have come across this q article on Microsoft’s webpage Q155216 and was hoping that someone has done and what might the potential issues may be, I will be reinstalling to a windows 2000 server instead of NT 4.0 any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

The article Q155216 is very straight forward. It is a disaster recovery method. With Win2k it is the same as NT4 Just follow the instructions you should be fine.

Or you could check out FAQ 10-3512! I like to think of it as an improvement on the Microsoft procedure .
