I am not sure if this is the right forum but her goes

I have downloaded a game trailer and it is on my C drive, I can not delete this file now as it says it is in use by another program. I have closed down all my non critical programs and processes and tried and did the same in safe mode but to no avail. I virus checked etc but could not find anything.

The file is World Of Worcraft.avi

Anyone any suggestions?

restart in safe mode and then you should be able to delete it (F8 at startup)

I suggest you try Unlocker.

http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

It should be able to unlock the file to let you delete it. If not then it should at least be able to let you know what process has the file in use... in which case you can use HijackThis (

http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip)

or a-squared HijackFree (

http://tmp.emsisoft.com/a2hijackfree/a2hijackfree.exe)

to close the process(es).
