Move Offline Files

Hi,
I have the following problem.
I have User directories which have to be moved from one fileserver to another.
These directories are used by laptop users and have offline file synchronisation.
Is there a way to make the move without loosing the synchronisation and without touching the laptop's
Both OS are W2K
I have checked out Cachmov but this is only for use on the client site
