move item from listbox

hi,
how can I move Items from a listbox to another listbox?
all these is base on a database

so.. listbox 1 there are items that can be selected and stored in listbox 2
be aware that the items of listbox 2 should be stored in a table.

is this possible because I went through internet can't find anything likethis
please advise how I can manage

check the faqs here and also search the javascript forum, there's no shortage here.

the end result of list2 is pretty much irrelevant it's getting the values you need into list2 so that after a submit you have the items to work with.
which if it's a multiselect ( they'd all have to be selected, hence the javascript reference, or only one of the values would be posted ) ... then it's just a matter of splitting the values out and doing what you need with them.

but if I wanted to query what is selected is this not possible than?
please advise how i can manage this behavior

I just want to select from a listbox 1 and put them selected items into listbox 2.
this should be driven via table in a database so I can query the selected items
