Move exchange 2000 to another server

Anyone know if it is feasible to simply use exchange to backup your current exchange server, then just restore it to a new installation of exchange on an alternative machine? Or is there a more "correct" method?

I think - yes, if your alternate PC's exchange server has the same config as it was on the old one. then, simply restore from the back up, down the first Exch , put the new one .
