mouse problems

Having problems with the mouse freezing sometimes. Very sporadic, usually lasts like 15 seconds or so then it will start working again. I have up to date anti virus protection, tried reinstalling the drivers and the mouse, switched from ps2 to usb port and switched out the mouse itself. Any thoughts. Thanks in Advance.

If you have the same "stall" with different mice then it's not a mouse problem. Some things to check... does it do it on all pc applications or just one or two? If on all, how much memory and storage space does the machine have? If on one or two, what are you dong when the mouse freezes (highlighting 100's of pages in a document for cut-n-paste; maybe it's a paint program that's using tons of memory to apply color to a hi-resolution image?)

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!
