Mouse Movement Causes Network Cable Unplugged

Strange one.

Dell X300 notebook attached to lan using XP's alternate IP configuration. When a Citrix session is started and the mouse is moved then XP shows that the network cable is unplugged. Eventually the session is terminated.

I duplicated this on another similar system - Dell X200 with same IP setup.

We have dozens of other workstations using Citrix with no problem except we are not using XP's alternate IP configuration and they are not Dell notebooks.

Any clues?
