I find this rather odd, and something I've never run into before. I have the logitech MX Duo, and the mouse is the cordless mx700. Just recently, (almost wondering if it could have something to do with Dell Axim being connected, though that makes little sense), the mouse cursor has started just totally quiting (won't follow mouse movements) until I minimize the whole screen (Windows Key + D). Then, it works fine. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else had ever run into this. Currently, I do have my Dell Axim cradle sitting right next to the mouse charger, which is also the wireless point for the keyboard and mouse - but no problems w/keybard. Just thought it strange. If anyone has any clue on this one, how about giving me a little help here. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

If the problem started with the Dell Maxim cradle being installed next to the mouse charger, then reconfigure their locations.

If that does not help, then make sure the mouse is within the maximum specified range of the receiver.

If that's ok, then update your AV program with the latest files, and do a virus search.
Also, run Ad-aware, Spybot, and CWShredder to remove any spyware.

If still no good, then remove the mouse from Device Manager, restart the computer, and let Windows reload its drivers.

I've seen the Logitech drivers lock up the system. The mouse will work OK with MS drivers, but lock-up when using the Logitech drivers. See if the mouse will work OK in safe mode. If so, delete the Logitech drivers.

Thanks to the both of you for your advice, I'll tinker around with it sometime this week.

Well, it's been a while, but I thought I would post back with what I've found. I've tried changing the drivers (uninstalling, reinstalling, etc), no help there.

I seriously doubt there is any virus/spyware activity - I have a Linksys firewall, Norton Systemworks 2003 and Internet Security Suite 2004 installed, as well as SpywareBlaster, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Ad-aware Personal SE. I have also checked my machine with CW Shredder, and with McAfee's "Stinger" app. The machine seems to run fine with no issues.

The only time I seem to run into the problem is if I hit the "fast scroll" buttons which are above and below the scroll wheel. Does anyone know if this is a known problem with this mouse?

I have considered just reinstalling all my software and drivers again in a month or so, anyway (as I tend to do that once in a while just for kicks, and b/c it always seems to make things run smoother after the reinstall is complete. My guess is that something else is causing a conflict, b/c I don't think I had the problem before with the mouse at all, it was just all of a sudden. If/when I get time in the next month or two, I'll probably just redo everything unless someone else has any ideas on the matter.
It's not really a big deal as I don't use those buttons frequently, anyway.
