mouse cursor hanged on and off

I use win2000 professional with logitech optical mouse. Since couple months ago, the mouse cursor start to hanged periodically; Each time it may last 1-2 seconds, then it just come back fine.

I install the most recent mouse driver, and also check some "running" program ( from regedit ); also ask some PC support guys on our site, and don't see too much help.

So, any idea ?

is it an usb or ps2 mouse?

It is usb. So, is that good or bad ?
