slot 'a'
the motherboard is ms-6191 micro atx ir2
is there a jumper that i can change to allow me to use 128 sdram pc 133 instead of the pc 100 that it is set for, if you can help i would be very greatfull.
thanks

No need to change bios or jumper settings as PC133 is backward compatible and will just run at the slower speed.

thanks for the help but i have tried various makes of 128 sdram and 133 will just not work on the motherboard, actually wont boot up, maybe i should just face up to the fact that it is an old board ( seen its day )and invest on a 2 gig board and chip instead of trying to get it to work better, dont get me wrong it works but it is just a bit on the slow side which i thought more memory of the faster kind would help thanks to all who has read and replied to me.

Yeah, some older motherboards don't support newer PC-133 chips. The kind that are "single-sided" (rows of Modules on one side), are less comaptible with older motherboards because of density. Older PC-133 that were dual-sided tend to be more compatible.

So, I'd either upgrade the mobo or invest in straight PC-100.
