hi..i'm very new to building a pc out of nothing phenom...and this power supply thing confuses me...i'm not even sure if i'm phrasing my question right...but here it goes-->
what is the minimum power supply that i should provide for a pentium 4 cpu on a intel d845gebv2 motherboard? would really appreciate it if somebody could help me out...

The minimum would be 300watt but more importantly a quality unit.
A generic unit that comes with a new tower will do but if you are serious about your PC's then invest in a branded quality PSU like Antec/Enermax etc and go for 400watt plus, this might be something you buy later on but take it from me it is worth it in the long run.
It has to be P4 compliant (with the extra power lead over and above the usual multi block connector you usually have)
As I said 300watt will get you up and running on a low budget for now but think about a quality replacement sometime down the line. Martin
Please let members know if there advice has helped any.

thankyou...i'm gonna go with the antec 400 watt atx workstation case sx840...just looking for a good deal on it...thanks..
