i recently bought an ASUS motherboard with a 1.4tbird. i bought a case from some online vender and i realized that it didnt come with any of the non-conductive mounting washers.

also, my computer doesnt even start when i push the power button. what could that be. it seems like there is no power going to the computer.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

115/230? Insulators not needed if the standoffs are small. The mounting trace is the frame ground. If the standoffs touch anything else then you have problems.
Fan start when you plug in? How about all screws out and the board raised off the standoffs. Ed Fair

actually, absolutely nothing turns on, i think it may be the power box or even misconnected power switch..

cycle the 115/230 switch. try another power cord. Make sure the power cord fully inserts, I've seen some that are difficult to get in. Won't be the first PS to be DOA. Ed Fair

I had a similar problem! mine was fatal!! to many brass mounting posts, shorted out the Moby, instant death!
So from experience, only put the mounts where the manual says to put the mounts!! Martin
