I just purchased this case and have found that the i/o part on the back does not matchup with the motherboard i purchased (asus p4c800-E Deluxe). It came with a flimsy aluminum part, that goes between the detachable case piece and it has written I/O-R-A-1394-U2. I don't know what the case piece is called, and need to purchase one that matches this boards setup. Any help would be appreciated(name of piece, where to get it, anything).

thanks

If you are talking about the piece of aluminum that covers the ps2, serial, usb etc, it usually comes with the case, My case came with a couple they didn't fit either. My motherboard came with one however, the only way to get one that will fit is through the motherboard manufacturer. You could try searching for it where that manufacturers accessories are sold.

I've always called it the I/O core cover. No matter what it called, the mobo should have one to match the mobo in the box. Just pop out the one thats there and pop in the one furnished with the mobo.

If your motherboard has a non standard I/O port configuration, and yours does, a new motherboard will always come with a replacent backplate for exactly this reason.
With the ever increasing amount of extra connections integrated into modern motherboards, these I/O backplates are very rarely standard configuration nowadays but they always come with a replacement plate for the case.
