I have an Asus A7V33/woa (I hate built-in board soundcards)motherboard, 266MHz Front Side Bus, PCI-ATA100 controller for UltraDMA/100, and based on the VIA Apollo KT133A chipset.

The Memory I currently have is

3x128 MB SDRAM @ 133 Mhz DIMM

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but the information recorded on computer components is confusing sometimes. I tried to call Asus, but they don't have a United States phone number. I e-mailed them several times on different occasions and didn't recieve a reply..

Question:

Am I able to replace my memory for...

266MHz dual-channel PC2100 DDR SDRAM
or
266MHz PC1600 DDR SDRAM

or can my motherboard support both? Do I have to get a new mobo?

Sorry, the Asus A7V133 does not support DDR RAM, if you want to use it you will have to go for a new mobo.
