More questions on updating

I have run into a problem. I have a tracking number for items and every time I run a report/query after the first time it is posting and printing the new number to the old number.

example
1st time tracking number 123
reports 123 is item xyz
2nd time tracking number 456
reports 456 is xyz and 456 abc

This is not very helpful

It seems to be an updating problem. Is there away to fix this?

I am new to this but I think the answer to your question is...I am a select query tied to a report. I have not learned how to use update queries. You tell me this is what I need and I ll learn quickly.

Well I solved my problem it was data entery error. Lesson learned keep your data entery forms seperate from your queries at all possible. Now to see if I can do that.
