Monthly with GFS

Wondering how Arcserve 6.61 knows when to carry out a monthly backup, does it count the days from when you created/started the GFS job or is it intelligent enough to use the date?

ARCserve runs a monthly when it's the last time that particular GFS job will run in the current month.

I have the GFS weekly kicking off on a Friday, say the last day of the month is Sunday, no usable media will be available.

I don't understand your comment. Your GFS job that runs weekly backups on Fridays will run a Monthly on the last Friday of the month.
