I am using Crystal V9.
Is it possible to produce a month style appointments calendar using a parameter entry to "seed" the date?
All solutions mention an Excel table or database table as the base, but I really want this to be completely portable and entirely self-contained.

Dear Shieldadmin,

Well you have to have something upon which to base the report ... or it will not run.

I successfully took my calendar generation report and set the location from the Database Table I was using to use the local file system C:\ (It is located under more datasources).

Simply having a datasource in the report allows it to run and I referenced no fields from the datasource.

My report works as designed. I have a date parameter that prompts the user for a date ... since there are no default values it presents a calendar. I use the Month and Year portion of the Date passed to generate the entire calendar.

So the answer to your question is that you must have a datasource but by using the local file system and limiting it to c:\ you satisfy that requirement.

This was tested in 8.5.

Regards,

ro
