Hi,

Any help on what trace options to select in Monitor?

Troubleshooting a PRI card. Provider tested yesterday with no errors on the trunk. Solid green.

Trunk (23 channel PRI) shows out of service in SSA. Want to dig deeper in Monitor. What filters should I look at?

I upgraded this IP500v1 to 5.0.26 y'day. PRI has gone down - completely out of service in the IP Office - 3-4 times in the past month.

PRI card is a daughter of a VCM32 card in slot 1. Have an open slot 4 I may move this to.

Any help w/ proper trace options would be appreciated.

Check all options in monitor for ISDN.
When it goes down then you will see it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The only time I have an ISDN go into out if service has been with a provider fault, they say it tests ok but they can only test the link from exchange to the termination point they can't test the link from ther to the IPO and that's what fails. Seen this maybe 10 - 15 times every time it was the provider at fault, I am UK but I would wager it's no different with your kit :)

Seems to be the case here as well, my UK friend. Apparently, a technician from the telco was onsite today and admitted to a physical issue with one of their termination points. Some kind of cover was missing, and some of the interfaces were soaked by recent rains.

So, it remains true that water and telephony do not mix.
