I am embedding a Windows Media Player object in my web page and I need to output the status information as it updates from the plugin. Can javascript monitor the plugin status properties and detect when they change? There's also a StatusChange event that fires every time the status changes on Windows Media Player. I thought that might help, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!
Drew

It all depends on what properties the event has. Is there anywhere that tells you what StatusChange makes available? it sounds like you are on the right track.

I am thinking maybe something like...

StatusChange.message

I think I'm more wondering how to tell when the StatusChange event has fired, so I can then pull the message from the Status property every time the StatusChange event fires.

I'm thinking something like an onClick event, where you run a function when someone clicks on an object. Is there a sort of onStatusChange event?

Thanks,
Drew
