Monitoring performance statistics in Windows 2000

I need to gather performance statistics of specific counters of a Win2k server with the following needs:

1. Weekdays ie Monday to Fiday
2. 8am - 6pm
3. Appended to the same file.(A new file to be created at the start of each month)

The default performance monitoring tool does not seem to allow me to set the monitoring period.

Using the "typeperf.exe" command in the resource kit with task scheduler seems a great idea, but I am not able to stop it from running at 6pm as it requires me to "press a key to stop"

Any help is much appreciated.
