Monitoring Bandwidth

Does anyone know how I can monitor bandwidth on a directory on a server (running Apache)? Say the directory is at /home/sites/

I dont know how to do it in perl, but there is a program(You have to configure) called MRTG(Multi router traffic grapher), goto
