I have read the document explaining in Cisco.com but it is still unclear to me what each of these mean pertaining to Cisco NAM:

monitor session 1 source vlan 10
and
monitor session 1 destination analysis-module 9 data-port 1

Somebody help?
Thanks!

What it means any traffic that is in vlan 10 is being spanned to your nam module in slot 9 . This is a span session used for either collecting data with the NAM or you can set up a span session if you needed to put a sniffer on your switch to ananlyze the data .

Does NAM only monitor the data with VLAN 10 and not other data flowing in other VLANs according to above setting?
Streams of data in VLAN 11 cannot be captured by NAM unless "monitor session 1 source vlan 10-11"?

Also, how many session # can be run simulatenously?

Thanks and sorry if I asked too many questions.

Right you have span whatever vlans you want monitored on the nam . How many different span sessions you can run depends on the platform , some 6500's will only support 2 sessions at a time others support more .
