Hello,

I'm trying to change my Monitor Password in Security Settings, but when I introduce the Old Password and the new one the 'OK' button is not marked.
I don't remember to change the Monitor Password previously but in fact the Old Password doesn't seem to be the usual.
Is there a way to reset the password to the defaults?
Thanks in advance.

the default monitor password is "password" without the "
On some IPO's it is the same password as the manager password.

bas1234,

I tryed it but the OK button is still unavailable.
I access to the Security Settings with se "security" user, so I suppose I have enough permissions to do this action. But for any reason it doesn't let me to validate it.

Ok,

I changed the Monitor Password (the Old Pass was ''), but I still don't connect the Monitor with the Ip Office. It shows the message "trying to connect to xx.xx.xx.xx", but never a message with the connection done. Besides the Monitor Display is blank and doesn't show log messages.

The Manager application connects fine from the same PC to the Ip Office, but the Monitor doesn't connect.
Is there something related to ports or firewall with the Monitor?
Thanks

The default monitor password in security settings is empty.

If it's empty the systempassword will be used wich by default is 'password'.

If this doesn't work, try defaulting the security settings from manager file\advanced\erase security settings (default) or use the AT-SECURITYRESETALL command from the DTE port.
But I think the 'empty' monitor-password will allow you to change it whatever you want.

And you're sure that you're aiming Monitor at the correct IP address?
Mike
