Monitor Now showing AVI in Monitor.. HELP!!

I am using Premier 6.5 and when I import a avi (The avi is using the codec Divx 5.0.3) and it plays in the little screen in the bin but when I drag it to the monitor I get nothing but an X in the top left corner. Can anyone please help me!!

I couldn't find an edit link so I had to just reply. I just found out that I can't play mpegs in Windows MEdia Player.. this happened when I reinstalled Premier last time and its doing it now. I don't kno whow to fix it.
