Hello, I just happened to touch my monitor screen today and felt an electrical current. I was wondering, has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, would you mind explaining how to resolve the issue? Please submit any technical information you would need on my behalf in order to make a conclusion. Thank you in advance.

It's possible that an internal component or wire is shorting to the monitor's frame.
And even though the monitor's power cable has a ground lead to draw voltage away from the frame to prevent accidental shock, there may still be enough voltage present to produce a tingling sensation.

Highly recommend not using the monitor at all.
And get it disassembled and checked ASAP(by a repair shop if necessary).
However, if it's an older unit, then it may be as expensive to repair as to replace.

Not to be too layman-ish about it.. but are sure it wasn't just static?

In regards to JAG14: yes, i'm positive it isn't static.

In regards to Ski: i'll take that advice and, thank you for the help.
