I have a flat screen monitor that is a couple of years old. I'm not sure of the brand, (generic something or other).
Anyhow, a few days ago it started showing no display except for ever 3 or 4 seconds it would blink and show the display for a very brief moment.

Other monitors work on the machine.
Broken monitor doesn't work on other machines.

Any clue. John

Try booting into Safe Mode and see if it still behaves this way. If it does, it's probably time for a new monitor.

Try to swap the cable and see if it works.
