Hi. I use Adobe Premiere 6.5. My complete DVD project will consist of 25 separate 3-5 minute segments (in 16:9 widescreen) placed in series. Each segment consists of hundreds of .gif stills (the content is animation) placed in series (on the timeline) in sync with a .wav music file. Thereby resulting in a series of animated music videos telling a story.
However, often while attempting to export a segment from the timeline (which may range from 2500kbs to 3500kbs in size) to DVDit! PE via the Adobe MPEG Encoder, my computer monitor/screen freezes before the (1-2 hrs) process is complete. As a result, I constantly have to hard-boot the harddrive to start all over (often having the same result).
I've tried adjusting the advanced features (bitrates, etc.) of the MPEG Encoder to no avail. All I know is so far over the last 4-5 wks the process has worked only a few times but mostly I experience the screen-freeze.
Is there a remedy to this dilema?
