I have
asus a7v333
amd athlon xp 2100+
and an ati radeon 9000 128 mb

i was playing quake last night and the computer just shut off, i taught it was the thermal alarm or something so i just bought to extra fans, left the pc cool down and tried to use it again, but now the screen doesn't shows a thing, the little green button is now yellow, i already checket if it is making good contact, it is not my monitor since i've tried it in other monitors and it doesn't work. And i don't think it's my graphics card since the heatsink of my radeon is still spinning, can someone help me please!!!

Try the following. Disconnect your monitor from the video card and boot your pc. Does it boot to windows ?
If not than open up your pc case and take out the video card and boot the pc without the card. Of course it won't get far but when the motherboard sounds some beeps, warning you there is no videocard installed shut down the pc and reinstall the card. Now boot again. If then still no image try getting in the BIOS by pressing del or F8 and check if the setting Primary Display Device is set to AGP.
