I can't get the MOH to work via an announcement on a G700. Here's what I have done...
I have a 2 G700s with an S8300(R3). All virmware updates and pathces have been applied to EVERYTHING!
I added the gateway-annc board on mg 2.
I uploaded a .wav file (a mono 8khz sample rate .wav file) to the board via ftp.
I enable the announcement board.
I "changed announcements" and added an announcement (type integ-mus) with a name ("moh") that matches my .wav file (filename "moh.wav").
I changed tenant 1 and assigned Music Source "1"
I changed "music-sources" and added music "type: ext" and assigned the extension I just added in the announcement field.
It's a small system and obviously everything defaults to tenant 1, but there is no music and nothing plays if I dial the extension of the announcement.

I absolutely transferred the file in binary mode. In fact, I did it several times. I have removed all the translations and added them back. It still just hangs up on me when I dial the announcement extension.

Any idea?

8-bit mono is correct, but was the wave file format you used CCITT u-Law? Most .wav files default to PCM. Microsoft Sound Recorder can convert PCM to CCITT u-law. Just open the file with Sound Recorder, go to file, then properties. It will tell you the current file type. If you press the "convert now" button, it will allow you to choose the file format to convert to. After conversion, upload it to the VAL board and it should work.

Also, make sure the file name of your .wav file matches the name on the announcement extension exactly. It is case sensitive for both the file name and the file extension (I had an announcement where the .WAV was capitalized and the system would not recognize it).

Statements expressed in this post are my own opinions and should not be considered as the opinion of my employer.

THAT WAS IT! What a P.I.T.A.! Nothing is every easy. Thanks for the help.
