Is anyone having problems with MOH (external) working on dial by name directory on IPO 406V2 4.0.7 and VMPro 4.0.18? It will work when I put a call on hold but not when using the dial by name directory feature. I've set this up many times on previous releases without any problems.

I'm not sure what you expect to happen. Can you give a little more info?

The caller should hear the MOH(music on hold)when the call is transfered thru the dial by name directory feature. Whats happening now, is the caller is hearing nothing until the person answers or the voicemail answers the call.

Are you using an assisted transfer or regular transfer? it sounds like assisted. i have always thought the moh should play on it. If you are using assitedd try a regular trans to $KEY and see if it makes a difference

Assisted transfer. I have set this up at least a dozen times with out a problem on other releases. This is the first time with IPO 406V2 4.0.7 and VMPro 4.0.18. I have been told by another installer that there is an issue but can't find any documentation supporting his claim.

This is taken from knowledgebase. I have also checked my config to their example call flow.
"Assisted Transfer Action
The Assisted Transfer action transfers the caller to the specified number which can include IP Office short codes. The caller hears either silence or music on hold if installed. The transfer is not blind, if the call receives busy or no answer then it returns to follow the appropriate connection."

I have used it a ton of times just for the purpose of getting music when transfered. Maybe it is just broken in 4.0.10. I have not loaded that version yet. would using a regular trans get you buy until they fix it? i have stopped using the assisted transfers on the dial by name because alot of customers dont keep an eye on the MOH and it ends up not working and then they just get dead air.

I assume by dialling *34 you are still actually playing music on hold?
