Hi,

How I copy holdmusic.wav and some BIN file to IPO CF card?
How I format CF? FAT, FAT32, Ext2, EXT3 or other?

Thx,

A 401NG embedded vmail card you can slot straight into your laptop and copy straight into the root directory of the card. (don't format!)

For a 406V2 embedded vmail card either borrow the pcmcia to cf adapter from a 401NG memory card or buy one. Then once again plug straight into a laptop.

Hi, Agilesup

Thx your replies, but I can new unformatted CF card, no factory embedded vmail card!

You want to use a generic CF card for storing holdmusic.wav only?

You cannot use a generic card at all.

The IPO embedded card has a kind of licence on it, a generic card will not contain this and will not work at all.

You have to use the IPO card, not a generic.

I'm not sure how the "Non-Avaya" card should be formatted but according to the IPO Installation Manual, "Non-Avaya cards can be used for file storage but will not support Embedded Voicemail.

Hi, kholladay!

Yes, I want to use for holdmusic.wav an other bin file.
(IP phones bin and settings.txt, etc)
Therefore then it is not necessary outside PC.

SEPEHU,

Can you tell us how the problem was resolved.

I just ordered a couple of 512MB cards with the same intent.

Thanks,

--- Brent

Generic card usually come pre-formatted from the supplier.
So put the files on (not the embedded voice files, these need a special card from avaya) via a cardreader or use the same batchfiles avaya uses to put there (send7xx.bat).

Make the tftpserverIPAdres (system-tab) the same as the IPOffice Lan1 IPAdres and there you are.
