I am trying to use multiple sources for MOH on an IP500 running 5.0.18. I can use the external source as the system source & if I use "holdmusic.wav" as the secondary source (for a specific hunt group as an example) it works fine but if I try to use "holdmusic2.wav" as a 3rd source...magic no work!? I see "holdmusic2.wav" upload to the control unit but I only hear system beeps when I put a call on hold...Anybody got this figured out yet?

Have you entered additional sources under System -> Tones & Music?

Alternate Source: Software level = 4.2+ (Not Small Office Edition).
Up to three additional hold music source can be specified. These are wav files loaded and stored in the same way as holdmusic.wav. Note that adding and changing a source can be done using a merge but deleting a source requires a reboot.

· Number
Assigned automatically by the IP Office. The alternate sources are numbered 2, 3 and 4.

· Name: Up to 31 characters
This field is used to associate a name with the alternate source. That name is then used in the Hold Music Source field on Incoming Call Routes and Hunt Groups.

· Source: Up to 31 characters
Defines the name of the wav file that the IP Office should download to use as the alternate source. Prefix the file name with WAV:, for example for the file holdmusic2.wav enter WAV:holdmusic2.wav in IP Office Manager. This defines the file that the IP Office will automatically attempt to load via TFTP following a reboot.

Yes, as I mentioned...watching the TFTP log, I see the new file "holdmusic2.wav" upload to the control unit so it seems to be getting to the IPO...just not playing? I have even tried renaming the file to "holdmusic.com" & it works so there is not a problem with the file I am using...just the name?
