Per the installation guide the ovf is specific to what you are to install - page 7. modular _messaging.ovf to install the pre-configured images of one MSS and one MAS or wcwso_mm.ovf to install the pre-configured images of one MSS, one MAS, and a combined Web Client and Web Subscriber Options server.
