I am designing a database for client and one of the things I need to do is have a picture on a button. Like Binoculars for the search button, but as opposed to how access can do that for you, I need to have the text SEARCH appear on the button as well. i.e. below the picture.

So like the3 word HELP under a Question Mark picture on the button.

Thanks

Only way I can see to do this is to incorporate the text into the image. You can do this in Paint with the Text tool. Alternatively, just use controltips so that the text is displayed when the mouse is over the button.

Hi.
I've had some fun putting transparent command buttons on top of various images (or labels). You can use the web elements available in clipart files, etc. Make the label or image the same size as the the command button, make the command button transparent and put it on top of the label.

I used to put pictures on buttons by entering the path in the picture field. If the icon is located on a server then this format works

\\Server\Folder\NextFolder\Icons\Computer\Drive01.ico

But creating the icons was always a lot of work. Now I use the standard ones and the ControlTip Text field to put explanatory notes when the mouse is hovered over the button. You can get a lot more text in that way.

This is nothing but cosmetics which some guys love to do...
Modifying the image of the button is the one way of doing it..
Gus Brunston's post is also okay.... just wanna add something to his idea... On OnClick Event of the button.. change the position of the image maybe 1 to 2 pts down and right... or up and left, so that it will look like its being pushed once clicked.

happy painting....
cheers,

Hey, Eager Pogi!
Thanks for the idea. Yep, I enjoy the graphics of the whole thing...sort of a right-side-up Michelangelo. Thanks again. Gus Brunston  An old PICKer, using Access2000. I manage Suggestions welcome. padregus@attbi.com
