I'm working with Fw4's popup menus, trying to customize them to perfection ... but I'm really floundering on one tricky detail: I want to insert an image at the top of each popup menu. Not a rollover on the original link, not a disjoint rollover; it needs to be a part of the popup menu itself, just an extra 4px-high image appearing above the menu items. This of course would have to be introduced into the JavaScript code that Fireworks employs for menu generation. I've got a good code editor at hand, but as anyone who's peeked at fw_menu.js knows, that's no simple file to digest.

Has anyone rolled up their sleeves and started mucking around in the js for the popup menus? If anyone has an informed suggestion of where in the code I could introduce this extra image, I'd be eternally grateful.

And in case you're wondering about copyright issues, the comment at the beginning of fw_menu.js includes a line granting permission to use and modify the file, provided the copyright info stays there.

One more thing: if you're interested in trying your hand at this but don't want to post for whatever reason, ring my bell at d.fields@nr.cc.mn.us

Thanks very much
I'll post again if anything gets accomplished.
