modify report's margins from aplication

I am trying to modify the margins(les's say the left margin) of a report, from code or from an aplication , after i designed the report in report designer. I have to print something on a standard page with fixed fields.
Many printers have different factory settings and the text does not fit on the page..so i heve to modify the margins

Unless there's something new since version 7 I can't think of a straightforward way to do this. I'd be inclined to align the report so that it fits on the page in the narrowest case scenario. Or you could have a couple of versions of the report, the appropriate one to be selected at run time.
