Hi all,

Been tasked with documenting our AD network (which I was not responsible for installing) and have come to my chapter (well...4 lines..) on the subject of our Schema.

Is there any way to find out what changes have been made to the schema since Active Directory was installed like a log or something?

I mean I KNOW that the Exchange extensions have been installed but I want to be sure when I put pen to paper that that is all that has been done to the schema.

Great question!

No log is kept that I know of, but I'd love to hear if anyone knows differently.

After looking at this on and off for the last 6 hours I think I've decided that there probably isn't any log kept.

Does anyone know off the top of their head (cos I'm fed up with wading through technet articles on the MS site)if you need to extend the schema to use SQL Server 2000 and MSMQ on your network - I've noticed classes in the schema for these.

The easiest way to tell would be if either product requires an 'adprep' command of some type before being installed. I'm pretty sure that SQL doesn't require it, but can't speak about MSMQ.
